About Cafetero Del Norte
Hey, I’m Nicolas — a Colombian-Canadian fútbol fanatic, full-time factory worker, and part-time accounting student based in Canada.
I created Cafetero Del Norte because, even with a packed schedule, soccer is what keeps me going. Between night shifts and study sessions, I make time to follow, analyze, and write about the teams and players I care about most — especially from Colombia and Canada.
Whether it’s a late-night match recap or a deep dive into an underrated midfielder abroad, this blog is built on passion, persistence, and a genuine love for the game.
I’m not a journalist or a media outlet — just a dedicated fan who puts in the work to highlight what deserves more attention.
⚽ What You’ll Find Here
On this site, I write about:
- Seleccion Colombia — tournament stories, match breakdowns, and rising stars
- Canada Men’s National Team — from Gold Cup heartbreaks to World Cup dreams
- Toronto FC & Independiente Medellin — season recaps, transfer analysis, and match reviews
- Colombian & Canadian players abroad — tracking their performances in Europe, South America, and North America
💡 Why I Started This Blog
My passion for Colombian and Canadian soccer is the driving force behind every post on this site.
I saw a gap in consistent, fan-driven coverage that truly cares about the players, the teams, and the culture — especially from a bilingual, cross-border lens. So, I took matters into my own hands and launched Cafetero Del Norte.
Here’s what I aim to build:
- A space where football stories matter — beyond just the big-name headlines
- A bilingual hub where fans from both countries can connect
- A platform where hard work and passion meet analysis and authenticity
